Wordpress (and WordpressMU) - BGC Blogs is an installaiton of Wordpress Multi-User that allows us to easily generate and manage blogs. These blogs can be used for courses, organization, news bulletins, exhibitions, or whatever we can imagine.

Moodle - Moodle is a online, collaborative learning environment specially suited towards schools. Moodle can be used to conduct online course, in the traditional classroom setting, and as a method of delivering content (like quizzes) to students.
